  • ASTER Volcano Archive (AVA)
The AVA website provides access to over 40,000 full-resolution daytime ASTER VNIR images, covering 1,542 active volcanoes. The AVA Browser provides a user-friendly Google Maps based interface to navigate the archive. Additionally, available ASTER data is searchable by volcano name.

  • Global Land Ice Measurements from Space
GLIMS monitors the world's changing glaciers by merging satellite remote sensing data with supplemental field measurements and historic maps. ASTER is the primary source of glacier information for the GLIMS project.

  • Japan Space Systems
A joint organization, consisting of the Institute for Unmanned Space Experiment Free Flyer (USEF), Japan Resources Observation System and Space Utilization Organization (JAROS), and the Earth Remote Sensing Data Analysis Center (ERSDAC). Links are provided for the Earth Remote Sensing Division (formerly ERSDAC), ASTER GDS, ASTER Science, and the ASTER GDEM.

  • Japan ASTER Ground Data System (GDS)
The ASTER GDS in Japan performs ASTER instrument operations, and processes, distributes, and archives ASTER data.

  • Japan ASTER GDS ASTER/PALSAR Unified Search
The GDS ASTER/PALSAR Unified Search website, maintained by Japan Space Systems, provides search and order capabilities for all archived ASTER data. Billable orders for ASTER data must be placed using GDS ASTER/PALSAR Unified Search.

  • Japan ASTER Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) Ordering Website
The Earth Remote Sensing Division at Japan Space Systems provides search and order capabilities for ASTER GDEM2 data. Registered users may download ASTER GDEM2 data at no cost.

  • ASTER Global Emissivity Database (ASTER GED, previously NAALSED)
The ASTER Global Emissivity Database (ASTER GED) is a mean, gridded, Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity (LST&E) climatology dataset calculated using all clear-sky pixels for a given location from all ASTER scenes acquired from 2000-2008. Initially released as a seasonal North American ASTER Land Surface Emissivity Database (NAALSED) v3, ASTER-GED is calculated as a mean of all available data over regions of Africa, Australia, and Eurasia. Remaining areas of the globe including South America and an updated North America will be completed by end of 2014. The ASTER GED is output on 1 degree x 1 degree grids at 100-m, and 1-km resolution, and products include the mean emissivity and standard deviation for all 5 ASTER TIR bands, mean LST and standard deviation, a re-sampled ASTER GDEM, land-water mask, mean NDVI and standard deviation, latitude, longitude, and observation count. ASTER GED LST&E are retrieved using the ASTER-TES algorithm in combination with the Water Vapor Scaling (WVS) atmospheric correction method with MOD07 profiles and the MODTRAN 5.2 radiative transfer model.
