Namib-Naukluft National Park is an ecological preserve in NamibiaÔÇÖs vast Namib Desert, and is the largest game park in Africa. Coastal winds create the tallest sand dunes in the world here, with some dunes reaching 300 meters in height. This ASTER perspective view was created by draping an ASTER color image over an ASTER-derived DEM. The image was acquired October 14, 2002, and is located at 24.4 degrees south latitude and 15.6 degrees east longitude.
