Adam’s Bridge is a 48 km long chain of limestone shoals, that were formerly a land bridge between India and Sri Lanka. It was reportedly passable until the 15th century, when storms destroyed the integrity of the bridge. The geologic origin of the bridge is still controversial. The image was acquired March 25, 2020, covers an area of 39.6 by 61.7 km, and is located at 9.3 degrees north, 79.3 degrees east.
