The flooding from the Chao Phraya River, Thailand moved steadily south towards the capital city of Bangkok. The top image was acquired November 1, and shows Don Muang, BangkokÔÇÖs domestic airport, under water. Compared to the bottom image, acquired October 25, more fields to the northeast are inundated. The major flooding was west of the river, and into the city. The ASTER images cover an area of 26 by 27kilometers, and are located near 14.1 degrees north latitude, 100.5 degrees east longitude.
