Vladivostok is the administrative center of Primorsky Krai, Russia, and home port of the Russian Pacific Fleet. Situated at the head of the Golden Horn Bay, Vladivostok is not far from the borders with China and North Korea. The city was originally settled by the Chinese and Manchus, and was acquired by Russia in 1860. The image was acquired September 4, 2005, covers an area of 17 by 19 km, and is located at 43.1 degrees north latitude, 131.9 degrees east longitude.
